Summary/abstract
The outlines of this project are to see if the inclusion of Wikis and Weblogs within the School of Computing would aid in the process of learning. These technologies were researched along with the current technologies that are in place at the present time that relate to communication, newsgroups and e-mail. From the research performed it was able to analyse them using a set of criteria that had also been researched. The criteria was based upon two view points, the technical aspect of the applications and also the educational outlook, these criteria were also researched in an attempt to gain a suitable understanding of what was required of the criteria.
