Summary
The project set out to investigate the various features and characteristics involved in Virtual Reality, and
to develop an interactive application to be run on the semi-immersive Holobench display unit.
This report reviews the research carried out into the technical aspects of Virtual Reality and 3D graphics.
The design and implementation of the application is described, highlighting how some of those aspects
were realised, and the problems encountered in implementing them. The resulting application is evaluated
by means of a simple interactive spelling game, and possible improvements are suggested.
The report concludes with a reflection on the project experience, and what lessons have been learnt from it.
