Product Description

Summary
The World Wide Web has brought about many successes and has change the culture of the
world we live in. Communications around the world are almost instantaneous and people
can now access endless amounts of information around the clock. However this has
brought about problems of finding suitable information quick and efficiently.
This project sets outs to research into existing methods for locating information on web and
the different ways in which the results are displayed. Then a variety of visualisation methods
will be identified in order to determine a suitable novel method for displaying search results.
The project achieved in the design and implementation of a prototype solution for an
interface to Google. The prototype design took into account existing solutions to the
problem and the use of current visualisation techniques in order to allow the user to make
informed judgement as to the relevance of these results.
